These community spaces and small businesses were part of our roster for professional artists this summer. Included here is how each space was used by the professional artists seeking development space during this COVID era.
Wolfe Island Commons and The Hotel on Wolfe Island: Music Rehearsal and Recording
Chris Brown, musician, producer, community builder and now an inn keeper at the newly named, The Hotel on Wolfe Island, is the founder of Wolfe Island Commons and The Wolfe Island Garden Party. Together, they promote community prosperity at the intersections of culture and agriculture. A newly emerging public space venture, The Market at Wolfe Island commons in front of the The Hotel on Wolfe Island is a place for community and gathering, offering Wolfe Island residents and visitors with a farm-to-table, artistic experience and offering quality food, art and products for sale weekly from Spring to Fall. Kingston School of Art: print making, gallery
The Kingston School of Art is a non-profit charitable organization providing accessible art education for the community. The Kingston School of Art (KSOA) was founded in 1994 as a reaction to the growing need for accessible community art education. KSOA is supported by fundraising, student fees, donations and grants and has since grown to include a gallery space: The Window Art Gallery.
KSOA’s newly appointed Executive director is Moira Demorest and new collaborations with GRIP are in the works.

- to provide year-round art programs within a supportive environment for people of all ages
- to manage these programs within a non-profit service

RCAFA 416 Wing Kingston: band rehearsal, new choreography and dance rehearsal, film production, new script development and play rehearsal.
The 416 is a member of the Royal Canadian Air Force Association(RCAFA) which is a national aerospace and community service organization established to commemorate the achievements of the people who have served as members of the the Canadian Air Forces since its inception, advocate for a proficient and well-equipped Air Force and to support the Royal Canadian Air Cadet program.
